Is "fresh yogurt" an oxymoron? Just wondering.
I have been making my own yogurt for a little over a year and enjoying the results! I would recommend it for anyone who eats it on a regular basis, as you can control the amount of sugar and additives that go into it. All you need is milk, a thermometer, a yogurt incubator, and some starter. I like the Yogourmet brand.
I like my yogurt with strawberries, blueberries, and a little bit of "grape-nuts". I find that it gives me a good, but not overwhelming breakfast and stays with me longer than a bowl of cereal.
I totally dig making my own yogurt. I make yogurt for the bee now too, though I think the first batch was a little tart for her taste. I'm kinda housewifey like that though.
ReplyDeleteYes, the Boxer thought it was a little tart, too, but I like it that way, and he got used to it really quickly.
ReplyDeleteOk, I am able to bare, bear? Which ever bear it is that can give a witness, or a testimony (quite a humorous word if you care to look up the roots to it) that your yogurt is amazing! As soon as I settle into my dream house/apartment/cottage/hut I too will make my own yogurt.
